I would recommend these books -Super Stocks by Ken Fisher.

The book is a classic written around 1984. His ideas are still fresh and relevant like Ben Graham.

In fact after reading this book I realized it is 2 in one bookon on long term value investment and second on attributes of great business. So this is an investment and business book combined. Ken asks us to look for super companies that have temporarily faltered due to some issues (glitch he calls them) and then buy when fundamentals indicate serious cheapness.for super size profits (for him 5 to 10 times in 3 to 5 years qualifies as super profit). This is a realm of super investors You remember guys like Warren Buffet, RJ, Shelby Davis when reading this book. Highly recommended if you are very long term value investor. – Margin of Safety by Seth Klarman.

Another classic on value investing. I have eBook with me.

-Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahelman. Perhaps best book on behavioral aspects. Instant classic. – Expectation Investing by Rappaport and Mauboussin.

They flip DCF to find what market expectation the current market price implies and ask us to check if that judgement is still justified. I am still reading it so cannot make definitive comment. But would like to get your opinion on this method of stock analysis if you happen to read it.

Author by: Louise Brown Language: en Publisher by: Harper Collins Format Available: PDF, ePub, Mobi Total Read: 41 Total Download: 297 File Size: 40,5 Mb Description: The dancing girls of Lahore inhabit the Diamond Market in the shadow of a great mosque. Node Js Php Serialize Unserialize. The twenty-first century goes on outside the walls of this ancient quarter but scarcely registers within. Though their trade can be described with accuracy as prostitution, the dancing girls have an illustrious history: Beloved by emperors and nawabs, their sophisticated art encompassed the best of Mughal culture. The modern-day Bollywood aesthetic, with its love of gaudy spectacle, music, and dance, is their distant legacy. But the life of the pampered courtesan is not the one now being lived by Maha and her three girls. What they do is forbidden by Islam, though tolerated; but they are gandi, 'unclean,' and Maha's daughters, like her, are born into the business and will not leave it. Sociologist Louise Brown spent four years in the most intimate study of the family life of a Lahori dancing girl.

With beautiful understatement, she turns a novelist's eye on a true story that beggars the imagination. Maha, a classically trained dancer of exquisite grace, had her virginity sold to a powerful Arab sheikh at the age of twelve; when her own daughter Nena comes of age and Maha cannot bring in the money she once did, she faces a terrible decision as the agents of the sheikh come calling once more. Author by: Ali Bader Language: en Publisher by: I.B.Tauris Format Available: PDF, ePub, Mobi Total Read: 90 Total Download: 678 File Size: 50,9 Mb Description: After a failed study mission in France, Abd al-Rahman returns home to Iraq to launch an existentialist movement akin to that of his hero. Convinced that it falls upon him to introduce his country’s intellectuals to Sartre’s thought, he feels especially qualified by his physical resemblance to the philosopher (except for the crossed eyes) and by his marriage to Germaine, who he claims is the great man’s cousin. Meanwhile, his wealth and family prestige guarantee him an idle life spent in drinking, debauchery, and frequenting a well-known nightclub.

But is his suicide an act of philosophical despair, or a reaction to his friend’s affair with Germaine? A biographer chosen by his presumed friends narrates the story of a somewhat bewildered young man who—like other members of his generation—was searching for a meaning to his life. This parody of the abuses and extravagances of pseudo-philosophers in the Baghdad of the sixties throws into relief the Iraqi intellectual and cultural life of the time and the reversal of fortune of some of Iraq’s wealthy and powerful families.
