I've got (link to photo album) pocket watch case, and want to verify whether the 'IWC' stands for Illinois Watch Company or something else (presumably not International Watch Co). It's marked as 'Supreme I.W.C. Co', with serial number 4430113, if I'm not mistaken (going off of the pic, since I don't have it near me now). It's a size 14 or 16 case and is gold-filled. Any other information, other than the manufacturer - e.g., approximate date - would be appreciated. I also have a related question - would the original movement of such a case have 'IWC' markings?
The case came with movement / dial, but it didn't seem like it was the original one, and it doesn't seem to have any identifying markings. One of the hands is also missing. Thanks for your help!
