Where Are Serial Numbers On Lifeproof Case

After being hesitant for the longest time to buy a lifeproof case because of the $80 pricetag, I was over by my local at&t today and they just started selling the lifeproof cases. I have a 50% off discount on all accessories with at&t due to my job, so i finally was able to purchase the case for $40 so my otterbox days are over! However, I have a few questions about the case.

I mainly bought this case because I want to have full protection. I'm never really that bad with my phones, a drop here and there; but I bought this honestly for the sole purpose of protecting my phone from shattering rather than water protection. I will not willingly bring my iphone into a pool or intentionally place it in water or take it with me into the shower/or in the water at the beach to test it's water capabilities, I bought it mainly just incase my iphone takes a hard fall or I accidentally drop it in a puddle, etc.

Is this case really shater proof and can withstand 6 foot drops as advertised? The whole purpose I bought this was to give me the invincibility of an otterbox without the bulk.

And also I didnt test the case out before I put it on for water damage because I just felt as if that was just a waste of time considering I'm not going to willingly submerge my phone in a bath tub when I'm showering or whatever, will it be able to survive a little water if let's say i accidentally dropped it in a puddle/snow or something? I'm mainly more concerned with the first question because I installed the case before I realized I needed the serial numbers to get the warranty (but if anything ever happened to my case I would honestly be willing to put down the $40 again than go through the whole warranty hassle) Does this case really live up to it's standards?

Like i said i'm not going to intentionally throw or drop my phone or submerge my phone in water or bring it into a pool with me, I bought it soley because as a teenager I have the butterfinger moments and the little spills of liquor on my phone here and there (lol). I've read threads where someone shattered their back cover in a Otterbox Defender case too. I've had my LifeProof case on my iPhone 4 since the second wave of preorder shipments. I buy cases for protection since I am a phone dropper. I've dropped my Lifeproof'd iPhone 4 down a flight of concrete steps and watched it bounce all the way down. My iPhone survived that drop thankfully. I've used mainly the Otterbox Defender and LifeProof case since I've had my iPhone 4, and I prefer the Lifeproof case because it is thinner than the OBD.

There are things that I don't like about the Lifeproof case like the speaker sound, shiny front cover, and the earphone jack access. I have submerged my iPhone in the pool like 2 times. But it wasn't the main reason I bought it. I just wanted protection. But it is a good feeling that you can use your phone out in the rain.

Talking on the phone with no worries. If you don't plan on submerging your iPhone. You don't have to do the water test. I know a few people at work that bought the case because they liked the way mine looked.

And they didn't do the water test. They bought it for looks and protection. Also, they said they suck at putting on screen protectors. I like the case for what I use for and it gives the protection I need. Because I don't like some of the features of the case.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. But I am satisfied with the product.
