Anyone using R.A.W. Universal Groove Kit with Stylus RMX?
I just received my R.A.W. [ REX- Apple Loops- WAV] Universal Groove Kit (by Sonic Reality), and I'm wanting to get all of its REX files into Stylus RMX via the SAGE Converter. Problem is, in the SAGE Converter tutorial, Eric [Persing] says there's a limit of '61 files' per suite when importing REX files. Well, with R.A.W., we're talking in excess of 5000 loops. When I look in the individual folders (05GE Kick Snare Patterns 3, 02PRC Misc Percussion, etc.), I notice that the greatest number of files any folder contains is.
(you guessed it) 61. So I thought hey maybe Sonic Reality is giving me the hint that I should be importing each folder individually instead of dragging the big, main 'R.A. Free Download Viber For Nokia N8 Belle. W. REX Edition' folder onto the Converter. Problem is, there's one solitary folder that exceeds the 61 files - '01DRM Vinyl Grooves', which has 72 files. So that shoots down my 'hint' theory.

In a way, I'm glad, since I wouldn't want that many suites (106) cluttering up my RMX browser. I'd rather have a single, main 'R.A.W.' Heading, which I can go into if I choose. Torrent Winx Dvd Ripper Platinum Crack.
So, before I start trying things, I wanted to see if anyone here might have suggestions on how to go about importing and organizing this [or any other large REX] library for use within RMX. Okay, figured it out. I assumed that since the SAGE Converter wouldn't accept anything over 61 REX files in a folder, it most certainly wouldn't take the entire overarching 'R.A.W. REX Edition' folder (5000 REX loops), so i never even tried it. Well, as it turns out, it will accept a huge master folder - it's the subfolders that directly contain the REX files that are limited to 61.
So the only thing I had to do was to split the aforementioned 72-file '01DRM Vinyl Grooves' folder into two (part 1 and part 2), and SAGE went happily on its way, converting. Only glitch is, at the end I got a message saying 'There was a problem and the SAGE Converter has stopped working'. But I'm seeing all the newly created folders in my User Libraries folder on the hard drive, so, I'll just have to go into RMX and see whether the loops are all functioning correctly.
I'll post the results.
LoopLoft and RMX files.perhaps a word of warning Might be some odd problem on my end but I've bought several of the recent super sale items at The Loop Loft, almost always getting all file formats as I like using Stylus RMX so much. That said, while I haven't had a single problem with the WAV files, their RMX files have proved very problematic. I've been able to 'work around' this by downloading the REX files and converting them to RMX using Spectrasonics SAGE converter. But even this as not yielded totally accurate results. I don't know if anyone else has run into this or has any info or solutions to offer. Just thought I'd pass it along. I have a handful of LL RMX and converted REX files that just will not playback reliably in RMX.
They are missing beats, stuttering, dragging and will not follow sync. Others work fine.sometimes even from the same package. LL has asked me to put together a list of the ones that don't work.something I have not had the time to do as yet.but I'm going to make time in order to help them and, hopefully, solve me problem. Again, I have many LL files that work fine but, unfortunately, a few do not. Oakley doakley.I've done some sleuthing as regards the LL RMX files that were giving me problems. And the answer is there is really nothing wrong with them as regards their conversion into RMX files.
The problem.if indeed it is a problem.is that some of them.especially jazz loops and New Orleans type loops.sound terrible if they are played at too much of a different tempo than their original tempo. While this occasionally happens with third party RMX and REX loops it rarely pops up in Spectrasonics own RMX libraries. I suspect it is down to the way they were sliced and edited.
There is little if any attention paid to the reverb tails and truncations at the end of each individual slice which can cause the loops to sound pretty weird when slowed down dramatically. They will actually play at any tempo and sync to Stylus.they just will sound bad. With most Stylus loops you can quite literally play them at any tempo you want and they retain their groove and feel and you sometimes discover brand new avenues and uses with wide variances in tempo. So.nothing really 'wrong' with the Loop Loft files.just don't try and move them too far away from their original tempos.
