Clearly shown that rt73 module is loaded. The driver is already loaded. Unplug the dongle and reboot, after all is started, then plug in the dongle. Issue 'dmesg' to see if any errors after plugging in the wifi dongle.
It will show u all the issue and errors after plugging in the dongle, this would tell u the cause of the problem. May it be, invalid drivers, invalid address, invalid HWID identifier, etc etc. And you need to tweak the kernel to let this driver to be recognised, if it is a enhanced version of Realtek Wifi module. Try google for more solution when dealing with rt73 drivers in linux USB environmnt.
